Owned by Sir Terence Matthews, The Marshes Golf Club opened in June of 2002 and quickly became recognized as the premier corporate golfing facility in Ottawa. One year later, Brookstreet opened to rave reviews and within three months of opening, received the prestigious four-diamond award in both the lodging and restaurant categories.
Brookstreet is revolutionizing and redefining the hospitality experience by offering world-class facilities including: a full-service spa with 12 treatment rooms, a championship golf course, The Marshes, and European PGA-approved short course, a four-diamond restaurant, Perspectives and a state-of-the-art fitness studio with whirlpools, steam rooms and indoor and outdoor pools.

| January 2009 | Brookstreet is home of Team Canada and the Official Host Hotel of the World Junior Hockey Championships organized by Hockey Canada, the official national governing body of ice hockey in Canada. |
| October 2008 | Brookstreet is the Official Host Hotel for Skate Canada International. Skate Canada International is the second of six competitions in the annual ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating series. The other events take place in the United States, China, France, Russia and Japan. |
