Welcome to Brookstreet's Media Centre.

Owned by Sir Terence Matthews, The Marshes Golf Club opened in June of 2002 and quickly became recognized as the premier corporate golfing facility in Ottawa. One year later, Brookstreet opened to rave reviews and within three months of opening, received the prestigious four-diamond award in both the lodging and restaurant categories.

Brookstreet is revolutionizing and redefining the hospitality experience by offering world-class facilities including: a full-service spa with 12 treatment rooms, a championship golf course, The Marshes, and European PGA-approved short course, a four-diamond restaurant, Perspectives and a state-of-the-art fitness studio with whirlpools, steam rooms and indoor and outdoor pools.

Milestones and Awards

January 2009 Brookstreet is home of Team Canada and the Official Host Hotel of the World Junior Hockey Championships organized by Hockey Canada, the official national governing body of ice hockey in Canada.
October 2008 Brookstreet is the Official Host Hotel for Skate Canada International. Skate Canada International is the second of six competitions in the annual ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating series. The other events take place in the United States, China, France, Russia and Japan.
August 2008 Brookstreet is the Official Host Hotel for the Kubota Classic Horse Show.
August 2008 Brookstreet is the Official Festival Hotel for the Ottawa Folk Festival.
June 2008 Brookstreet is the Official Host Hotel of the NHL Draft.
June 2008 Brookstreet is the Official Airshow Hotel for the Ottawa Air Show.
June 2008 The Brookstreet Breast Supporters raise over $60,000 for the Weekend to End Breast Cancer and win "Best Team Bra" at the event's Second Annual Bra Contest.
April 2008 Brookstreet receives the Mercer Vision Award for Human Resources Innovation at The 8th Vision Awards.
March 2008 Brookstreet is named "Tourism Business of the Year" at the Kanata Chamber of Commerce 9th Annual People's Choice Business Awards.
January 2008 Brookstreet and Perspectives Restaurant are awarded CAA/AAA 4-diamond rating for the fifth consecutive year.
November 2007 Brookstreet is awarded the Canadian Tourism Human Resources Council Award for Excellence in Human Resource Development by the Tourism Industry Association of Canada.
November 2007 Brookstreet is recognized as an Employer of Distinction in the National Capital Region.
October 2007 Brookstreet is named Ottawa Tourism's Star Property 2007.
July 2007 Brookstreet's 5th Annual Lumière Gala raises $31,500 for the University of Ottawa Heart Institute.
June 2007 Brookstreet is the Official Headquarter Hotel for the NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs.
May 2007 Perspectives Restaurant is recognized with the VQA Restaurant Award of Excellence.
May 2007 Perspectives Restaurant receives the Wine Spectator Restaurant Award for the fourth consecutive year.
April 2007 Executive Vice-President and General Manager Patrice S. Basille is awarded Leader of the Year (Private Sector) by the Regroupement des gens d'affaires de l'Outaouais.
March 2007 Brookstreet and Perspectives Restaurant are awarded CAA/AAA 4-diamond rating for the fourth consecutive year.
February 2007 Executive Chef Michael Blackie wins silver at the Gold Medal Plates National Culinary Competition.
February 2007 Brookstreet is recognized with the Hotel Association of Canada's Human Resources Award of Excellence

June 2006 Brookstreet hosts the Bilderberg Conference.
March 2006 Brookstreet and Perspectives Restaurant are awarded CAA/AAA 4-diamond rating for third consecutive year.
July 2005 Brookstreet's 3rd Annual Lumière Gala raises $22,600 for the United Way.

July 2004 Brookstreet's Lumière Gala becomes an annual charity event. The 2nd Annual Lumière Gala raises $33,994 for the National Ovarian Cancer Association.
